Sun Valley Alpaca Company Return Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If something isn’t right, we're here to help.

Standard Returns (U.S. Customers Only)

You may return new, unworn, and unwashed items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. To qualify:

  • All original tags must be attached

  • Items must be in original condition, neatly folded, and in their original plastic bag

  • Items must not be altered, damaged, or rolled

  • We do not accept returns from international customers at this time, due to customs regulations. Learn more about International Shipping here.

We reserve the right to refuse any returns that do not meet these requirements or appear fraudulent.


Return Authorization Required

Before sending anything back, please request a Return Authorization Number (RMA).

  • The RMA must be clearly written on the outside of your return package

  • Returns without an RMA will not be accepted

  • Items must be received at our warehouse within 10 days of receiving your RMA

Any item received in less-than-perfect condition, missing tags, or outside of the return window may be sent back to you at your expense.


Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original form of payment after the returned item is received and inspected

  • Gift card purchases will be refunded as store credit only

  • If you’re returning a gift, you will receive store credit

  • Shipping fees are nonrefundable, except in cases of merchant error


Holiday Return Policy

Purchases made between November 15 and December 15 are eligible for return until January 15 of the following year. Items must meet the return guidelines and be received by that date.

Restocking Fee & Shipping Costs

  • Orders with Free Shipping will incur a restocking fee of 10% or $20, whichever is less

  • We do not offer free return shipping. If you request a prepaid return label, the cost will be deducted from your refund

  • You may also use your own shipping method, but we recommend using a trackable service

Please keep your return tracking number as proof of shipment.


Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a defective or damaged product, contact our Customer Service Team right away. We’ll arrange a prompt replacement at no cost to you.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Final Sale items (marked as “Final Sale” on the product page or ending in .98)

  • Clearance items

  • Gift wrap services, including gift boxes

  • Used socks (trying them on is okay, but they must not be worn beyond that)

  • ROUTE Shipping Insurance (optional and nonrefundable)


Returns for Productions & Photography

Our designs are proprietary. If you're using our products for photography, film, theater, or other productions, please contact us in advance. A licensing and/or restocking fee may apply.


How to Start a Return

  1. Visit our Returns Page

  2. Submit a Return Request to get your RMA number

  3. If needed, request a prepaid return shipping label (cost will be deducted from your refund)

  4. Ship your item using the carrier of your choice, or with our label, making sure the RMA is marked on the outside of the plain unmarked pack or box.
